DFS NBA FanDuel Top Daily Plays: (12/15/2017)

Welcome to the Daily Fantasy Sports NBA FanDuel Top Daily Plays. This article will be featured daily, Monday through Friday during the regular season. I will rank the players according to overall value, with FanDuel’s scoring/salary in mind. These can typically be used on all sites, but use some common sense if another site scores differently or has a different salary. Remember, this is only a guide, and several factors may influence who you should select each day.

Point Guard

Russell Westbrook (OKC): $10,900 @ PHI

Russell Westbrook is not rattling off triple-doubles every game this season, but his usage rate has not gone down as much as anticipated with the additions of Paul George and Carmelo Anthony this season. He's still consistently reaching 50 FanDuel points on most nights making him an incredibly safe cash game option. Tonight he has a decent matchup against the 76ers, who have only been middle of the pack against opposing point guards this season.

Rajon Rondo (NOP): $6,000 @ DEN

Rajon Rondo had a down game the other night, but tonight he and the Pelicans have a juicy matchup at Denver tonight. This game currently has the second-highest projected total in Vegas and the spread is extremely close with the Nuggets as only one point favorites.

Kyle Lowry (TOR): $8,300 vs. BKN

Kyle Lowry has been in an offensive slump lately, so now could be a great time to jump on him at expected low ownership on a big slate. Lowry still have 50 FanDuel point upside and the matchup tonight is a great one against the Nets, who have allowed the most FanDuel points to opposing point guards. The key in this game will be for the Nets to keep this game close so that Lowry plays deep into the fourth quarter.

Others to consider: Damian Lilllard (POR), Reggie Jackson (DET),

Shooting Guard

Victor Oladipo (IND): $9,600 vs. DET

Victor Oladipo is having an outstanding season and could finally be blossoming into a star in the NBA. He does have a tough matchup tonight against the Pistons, but he was able to put up 47 FanDuel points in this very same matchup about a month ago at home.

Jrue Holiday (NOP): $7,400/E'Twaun Moore (NOP): $4,800 @ DEN

Jrue Holiday and E'Twaun Moore are two more options who I really love from the Pelicans tonight. Holiday is definitely the safer option, but Moore has been outstanding in the month of December. Since the first of this month, Moore is averaging 28.0 FanDuel points per game and has tremendous upside for GPPs at his sub $5,000 salary.

Others to consider: DeMar DeRozan (TOR), Khris Middleton (MIL), Gary Harris (DEN)

Small Forward

Jonathon Simmons (ORL): $6,700 vs. POR

Jonathon Simmons has been a pleasant surprise with his new team this season. The former Spur has scored at least 20 real points in each of his past three games and has gotten at least five rebounds and five assists in his last two games. Tonight he has a decent matchup against the Trail Blazers who are only middle of the pack against opposing small forwards this season.

Joe Harris (BKN): $3,500 @ TOR

The small forward position is pretty ugly as a whole tonight and I really don't like the idea of paying up for Antetokounmpo since they will likely blow the Bulls out at home. This leaves me with probably going the value route with Joe Harris. DeMarre Carroll has been ruled out for tonight's game which means Harris will likely get a significant bump in minutes and possibly even start. He should have no problem returning at least 5x at this cheap salary with a real possibility of going for 6x or even 7x.

Others to consider: Paul George (OKC), Otto Porter (WAS)

Power Forward

Anthony Davis (NOP): $11,100 @ DEN

Anthony Davis sat out the last times these two teams met and the time before that he had to leave the game about half way through with an injury. Hopefully he can get through the entire game tonight, because this should be a very high scoring and fast paced game. The Nuggets really do not have an answer for Davis and it's very well possible he can have one of those monster games he is capable of putting up on a nightly basis.

James Johnson (MIA): $6,200 @ CHA

I love playing James Johnson whenever the high amount of minutes are guaranteed to him. Since Hassan Whiteside went down with an injury, Johnson has been playing close to 30 minutes in each game and he is always capable of filling up the stat sheet in multiple categories.

Others to consider: Ben Simmons (PHI), LaMarcus Aldridge (SAS), Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (BKN), Derrick Favors (UTA)

Center

DeMarcus Cousins (NOP): $11,700 @ DEN

I know this is the fifth Pelicans player I have recommended for tonight, but it just goes to show how great of a spot they are in tonight. The last time these two teams met Boogie had an outstanding game with 78.4 FanDuel points. Boogie should be in line for another great game tonight with Nikola Jokic likely on a minute restriction in his first game back since last month.

Andre Drummond (DET): $9,400 @ IND

If I have to make a tough decision between Cousins and Davis in a lineup, I will likely go Davis since I can just drop down to Andre Drummond at center. Drummond has had a monster year this year averaging a double-double in points and rebounds.

Others to consider: Marc Gasol (MEM), Joel Embiid (PHI), Bam Adebayo (MIA), Tyler Zeller (BKN)
